Innov Space trophy for Farmapro

A reward for the new disinfectant EKO GERM D of Farmapro

If the SPACE2020 was not maintained due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Innov'Space trophies were still on the program on the application file and the jury unveiled its prize list a few days ago.

Farmapro won its first Innov'Space on September 15, rewarding its new disinfectant EKO GERM D. Since the creation of the Innov'Space competition in 1995, this is the first time that a pig hygiene product has been awarded.

Eko Germ D has the same efficiency as conventional chemistry

EKO GERM D is a foaming disinfectant for livestock buildings, usable in organic farming, formulated without chemical additives, with 100% plant-based active ingredients, derived from renewable resources when almost the entire market is derived from oil tankersderivatives.

It is a product which only presents a risk pictogram on the container, corrosive, but which is not at its dose of use. And above all, although having all these characteristics, it is a product that has the same efficiency as conventional chemistry, since it is tested according to the same standards, on the same germs and that it is effective against the virus of 1% FPA * or against porcine circovirus type 2 (MAP virus), circulating in farms and known to be one of the most difficult to destroy.

What is Innov'Space ?

Since 1995, in parallel of SPACE tradefair, the Innov'Space distinction has been a showcase for innovation and a real commercial asset which highlights the know-how of companies for breeders. Offering high visibility during the show, the Innov'Space label is also a unique opportunity to promote and promote innovations.

A jury of experts, independent of the organization of the Show, examines in all neutrality and confidentiality the new products proposed by the exhibitors. It validates the products, equipment or services providing real innovation. The innovations will be classified according to their degree of interest for the breeder or the end user: 1 star or 2 stars, and 3 stars for special mentions from the jury.

The beginning of a long story...

We would like to thank all the people who contributed to the success of this project, which began 3 years ago.

We hope to see you in the years to come with other breakthrough and award-winning innovations such as the Eko Germ D, respectful of humans, animals and the environment.

A partnership with New Hope Liuhe

At the end of 2016, we partnered with New Hope Liuhe, a major agro-food player in the Chinese market, to create a Joint-Venture on a 50/50 equity basis. The goal of this Joint-Venture is to produce French charcuterie in China for distribution on Chinese territory.

It materialized in the construction of a factory to manufacture cured meats and other cooked, uncooked or smoked products. The approximately 8,000m2 building is located in the city of Pinggu, 70 km northeast of Beijing.

Our french know-how through our french brand Brocéliande

With this new cured meats factory, Cooperl wishes to develop a complete production chain in China to meet the very high local consumption. This factory will allow us to apply "made in France" expertise to Chinese industry, to promote Brocéliande products and to have new outlets for marketing.

Today, after 3 years of work on this project, Bastien Ballan, factory manager and Lei Yu, production manager (here in the photo), are proud to present us the first ham produced in China !

A successful challenge for Cooperl teams

Ham, cooked sausages, pâtés, bacon, roasts, sausages, etc. The entire Brocéliande cooked charcuterie range will soon be represented and will offer Chinese consumers high quality products, made from pigs raised in France and without antibiotics. At the same time, a brand specific to the JV will be developed: The Fan XI.

The plant will be able to produce more than 7,000 tonnes of cured meats per year and offer around 40 product references using these two brands.
