Usefulness of light in livestock building

Adequate lighting in animal housing is an integral part of your success.

Light participates in metabolic processes in the body of animals, influencing their physiological state, well-being and productivity. It is a physiological irritant of the animal organism through the intensity, duration of the light cycle and spectral composition.

Finding animals for a long time with insufficient illumination (short daylight hours) suppresses protein synthesis, which retards the growth and development of animals, causes deep, often irreversible, qualitative changes in the gonads in animals during growth and puberty, and in adult animals reduces sexual activity, fertility and can cause infertility. Light starvation is expressed in a deterioration in well-being, a decrease in productivity and the natural resistance of the body. All this complicates the work of livestock breeders.
