THE CONCEPT
Controlled ventilation, natural light and improved comfort
VRV is a ventilation system based on controlled negative pressure. Stale air is extracted while fresh-air inlets automatically adjust to indoor and outdoor conditions. Thanks to the Coanda effect, incoming air follows the ceiling and mixes with the room air before reaching the animals. This prevents cold draughts and helps maintain a comfortable environment, including during hot weather. Translucent inlet flaps installed along the building also bring more natural light into the livestock rooms.
MAIN TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
AUTOMATIC REGULATION
Temperature, pressure and flap-position sensors continuously send data to a preconfigured algorithm.
The system automatically adjusts:
- airflow;
- fan speed;
- negative pressure;
- inlet-flap opening.
Farmers only need to enter the number of animals and the required room temperature.
AIR DISTRIBUTION
Fresh air enters the building at an angle of up to 17° and remains attached to the ceiling. It gradually mixes with the warmer room air, ensuring effective air renewal without directing cold air onto the animals. Polycarbonate flaps installed along the façade regulate fresh-air intake while allowing natural daylight into the building. An angle sensor accurately measures each flap’s opening position to provide the correct volume of incoming air.
AIR EXTRACTION
VRV can be combined with different extraction systems:
- chimney extraction;
- low-level extraction;
- room extraction;
- centralised extraction.
This makes it suitable for both new buildings and renovation projects.
