Spire impact, finned-tube heating system
THE CONCEPT
Efficient and durable heating for an optimal livestock-house climate
Spire Impact is a hot-water finned-tube heat emitter designed specifically for livestock buildings. Hot water circulates through the galvanised steel tube, transferring heat efficiently and distributing it gently throughout the room. Unlike forced-air heating systems, Spire Impact does not generate additional airflow. This helps maintain effective ventilation while providing even and responsive heating for the animals.
MAIN TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
PERFORMANCE
The specific spiral-fin design increases the heat-transfer surface and optimises the tube length required in the building. Spire Impact provides 5% higher heat output than the previous Spiraflex solution, while its hot-dip galvanised steel ensures excellent thermal conductivity and rapid heat distribution.
HEAT DISTRIBUTION
The finned tube distributes heat through broad radiation throughout the room, helping maintain a homogeneous climate. As the system does not create additional air movement, it works alongside the building’s ventilation system without disrupting controlled airflow.
DURABILITY
Spire Impact is manufactured from hot-dip galvanised steel to withstand demanding livestock-house conditions. Its estimated service life is more than 20 years. Rubber sealing also prevents direct contact between the galvanised tube and stainless-steel fittings, avoiding the risk of galvanic corrosion.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES
- Even room heating through gentle, wide heat radiation.
- High thermal output thanks to the optimised spiral-fin design.
- No additional airflow, helping preserve the efficiency of the ventilation system.
- Long service life, with hot-dip galvanised steel designed for livestock environments.
- Fast and responsive heating thanks to the thermal conductivity of steel.
- Easy installation, without welding or specialised equipment.
- Flexible heat source: compatible with any system capable of producing hot water, including electricity, wood, gas, biogas or oil.
A PROVEN SOLUTION
AN ADAPTABLE HEATING SOLUTION
Spire Impact can be connected to a wide range of hot-water heating systems, making it easy to adapt the installation to the farm’s available energy source. Its modular design also allows the heating network to evolve with the livestock building and to be combined with climate-control equipment for more precise temperature management.
DESIGNED FOR LIVESTOCK BUILDINGS
Spire Impact is suitable for livestock production buildings and is particularly well adapted to nursery heating, where stable temperatures and controlled ventilation are essential. The system can be installed as ambient heating or positioned beneath a creep cover according to the required heating strategy.
Finned-tube heating technology has been used in livestock buildings for more than 10 years. Spire Impact combines this proven principle with an optimised fin design, durable materials and installation components developed specifically for demanding agricultural environments.
